Ooooh I had the best day ever at Victoria Park’s Kid’s Main Playground in Tower Hamlets, right in the middle of London’s Victoria Park! If you're lookin' for brilliant free family fun in London, this playground is top banana! It’s proper massive and there’s sooo much to do for kids like me who love to jump, swing, dig and zoom about.
🏖 A giant sandy playland!
The whole playground’s built on soft golden sand – feels just like the beach but in the middle of London! I took my shoes off and ran about with my paws (I mean, feet) in the sand – it was brill! There’s loads to climb and swing on, like:
- Giant twisty slides that made my tummy go all whoosh!
- Big chunky climbing frames that look like treehouses
- A bouncy dragon swing – my favourite!
- And lovely sand pits for diggin’ tunnels and makin' castles
It’s one of the best playgrounds in London, especially if your little ones like sandy adventures like me!

💦 Paddling pool fun (when it’s open!)
Sometimes there’s a paddling pool open in the warmer weather. It’s brill for splashin’ about with your mates, but it’s not always open so best to check before you go. I didn’t get to paddle this time, but I peeked at it and it looked awesome.
☕ Mums, Dads & Grown-ups — there’s bits for you too!
While us little ones zoom around, you can chill on the benches round the edge or nip to the Hub Café nearby for a cuppa. There’s clean public toilets too which is handy when you’ve gotta go (you know, after all that jumping about). And after playtime, there’s loads more to explore in the rest of Victoria Park, like:
- The boating lake – I saw ducks!
- A cool skate park
- Paths for scooters and buggies
- Big grassy bits for running and rolling about
