We recently visited Tooting Triangle Playground, nestled in the heart of Tooting Bec Common, and it’s quickly become one of our favourite spots for a family day out! If you’re looking for a relaxed yet fun space for the little ones to run around, this playground is an absolute gem. The sandpit is massive, and on sunny days, it feels just like being at the beach! My daughter had the best time digging in the sand and climbing the frames. What I love is that the playground is fully fenced, so no dogs can get in, and kids can’t wander off easily, giving us parents some peace of mind. The climbing frames are perfect for older children, while the swings cater to all ages. Although there aren’t any slides, the little ones don’t seem to mind because there’s just so much else to keep them busy. There are even sand toys on hand, though I’d recommend bringing your own, just in case. On hotter days, you’ll appreciate the shaded benches where you can take a break while keeping an eye on the kids. If your little ones love trains, they’ll be excited to spot the trains passing by the nearby tracks! One of the best parts about this playground is its location—close to Balham Station and bus stops, just a 15-20 minute walk away. When the kids are done playing, you can explore the rest of Tooting Bec Common. It's a perfect spot for a smart family outing, giving the kids room to play and letting us enjoy some quiet time, all for free! Tooting Triangle Playground truly ticks all the boxes for free family activities in London, offering a safe and engaging environment for kids of all ages. Whether you’re looking for hidden gems or just a solid spot for the kids to burn off some energy, this playground is a must-visit!
