Primrose Hill Playground In London
Primrose Hill Playground is a gem for families looking for free family activities in London. Tucked at the bottom of Primrose Hill and just north of Regent’s Park, this playground is ideal for a family day out. We took the kids there last weekend, and it truly lived up to its reputation. The scramble net playground was a big hit with the older ones, while the sandpit and new water play feature were perfect for our little one, especially since it’s wheelchair-accessible and thoughtfully designed for children of all abilities. The sandpit even has shaded seating areas, making it a comfortable spot for parents to relax while the kids dig and play.
The natural play features, like tree logs, boulders, and a wobbly bridge, were a fun addition that gave the whole place a more adventurous feel. It’s great that the playground is divided into areas for younger and older kids, with benches and bushes separating them. But, you can still see the whole playground, which makes it easy to keep an eye on everyone. The kids’ toilets being separate from the adults’ facilities is also a brilliant touch! We enjoyed a break from the sun in the shaded areas and even managed to grab lunch at the nearby café.
If you’re after a well-maintained, safe, and inclusive playground, this is one of the best free family-friendly parks in London. Whether you’re looking for smart ways to enjoy London on a budget with kids or simply want to explore hidden gems like Primrose Hill, I highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be going back for more!
