King Square Gardens Playground, Islington, London
We recently visited King Square Gardens Playground in Islington, London, with the kids last weekend, and what a gem! The whole place felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. The sandpit was spotless, freshly raked – a rare find in London! The kids had a blast in the water splash area, and there’s a separate toddler zone that’s perfect for the little ones. The swings cater to all ages, and the wooden climbing frame kept the older kids entertained for hours. Benches with board for chess or checkers. Very peaceful surroundings!
There’s plenty to keep them busy – slides, grass to run around on, and the water sprinkler area is a saviour when it’s hot! And yes, they have toilets, which is always a plus when you’ve got wet and messy little ones. They also host free ‘Nature discovery and play’ sessions on Fridays 10:00am-11:30am, which is also a brilliant bonus – mud kitchens, natural crafts, water play, and more. No need to book – just show up and enjoy learning and playing in nature with your little ones. We absolutely loved it.
Highly recommend this spot for a family day out! The kids didn’t want to leave, and we’ll definitely be back soon.
