Highgate Woods Playground, London
I took the kids to Highgate Woods Playground the other weekend, and I have to say, it’s a brilliant spot for families! There’s so much to keep little ones entertained. What I loved the most was the separate areas for younger and older children – the little ones have their own space, and there’s loads for bigger kids too, like multiple slides, monkey bars, and climbing frames. My two spent ages climbing on the tractor and bouncing around on the SUV – they couldn’t get enough!
There are two sandpits, which are perfect for my toddler, and the zip line was a massive hit with my eldest. The park also has this really cool arch-like structure that works like an upside-down see-saw – a bit hard to explain, but the kids loved swinging on it and hanging like monkeys!
The playground is set in a lovely park, so there’s plenty of shade from the trees and benches dotted around for us parents to sit and watch. There’s also a picnic area nearby if you want to bring lunch. Honestly, it’s one of the best free places for kids in London, and the perfect spot if you’re looking for smart family activities in London. Plenty of street parking around too, which is always a win.
If you’re around the area, I highly recommend it – the kids won’t be bored for hours!
