We had such a lovely day out at Hackney City Farm in London with the little ones! It's a perfect place for toddlers and young kids to get up close to the animals. My two loved the donkeys, goats, and the cheeky chickens running around. It’s brilliant because they can see the animals up close, and it’s all free! You don’t often get that in London.
The farm has a cosy little café where we grabbed some lunch, and we even popped into their organic food shop to pick up some eggs. They also sell lovely fresh produce grown right there on the farm! It’s such a nice way to teach the kids about where food comes from and living sustainably.
It’s small, but there’s plenty to see and do, especially if your kids love animals. There’s also a lovely garden space where the kids can run about, and the whole place has such a welcoming feel. The staff were really friendly too. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, you can also pop over to Columbia Road Flower Market for a full day out!
Overall, Hackney City Farm is a hidden gem for families in East London. Whether you’ve got a toddler or slightly older kids, it’s a fab way to spend a day. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area, especially since it’s free and educational for the little ones!
