We recently spent a lovely afternoon at Graham Street Park Playground in Islington, London, and it quickly became one of our favorite playgrounds in London. Nestled just by the City Road Basin, this playground offers a wonderful escape for families looking for a fun and free outing in the city. The playground itself is perfect for children of all ages. There’s a large climbing structure with slides that kept our kids entertained for hours, along with two swing sets that are always a hit. But the real standout feature is the expansive sand and water play area. On a sunny day, there’s nothing better than watching the kids dig, splash, and create in this fantastic space. There's a beautiful newly planted orchard there which will surely become a perfect blooming oasis comes spring. Playground has big posters helping young ones learn about small animals, bugs and insects which is great for the little ones to learn and explore! What makes Graham Street Park so special is its setting. Surrounded by buildings and backing onto the canal, it feels like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. The climbing structures, slides, and playhouses offer plenty of variety for kids to explore and burn off some steam, making it a great spot for a family day out. The park also has benches where you can relax while keeping an eye on the little ones. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Graham Street Park is a true hidden gem in Islington and definitely worth a visit.
