If you’re looking for a fun and varied spot to take the kids in Camden, London, Alexandra Road Park Playground in Camden is a fantastic choice. And it's absolutely free! It’s got four separate play areas close together, so there’s something for everyone. One section is perfect for ball games, while another is designed for kids up to 8 years old. Our 4-year-old daughter absolutely loved it, so I’d say it’s a hit with younger ones too. There’s also an area with three different types of swings, right next to the final playground, which is geared more towards older kids. The bigger kids’ area is brilliant for climbing enthusiasts, with big steel climbing frames, nets, and slides to tackle. It’s an impressive design, though I think a bin nearby would be a helpful addition for tidying up. What makes this place extra special, especially on a hot summer day, is the shady playground area under the trees—it was a lifesaver! Everything was clean and well-maintained when we visited, which always makes the experience more enjoyable. If you’re driving, we managed to find free parking nearby on a Sunday, which was a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a great little park with lots to keep the kids entertained while you relax in a leafy, peaceful setting. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Camden area!
