Mile End Children’s Play Park & Pavilion, Mile End, London
We recently visited The Children’s Play Pavilion in Mile End, London, and it was such a fantastic day out with the kids! This park has so much to offer, and we were really impressed by how inclusive everything was. From the castle to climb on, the dry riverbed with boats and bridges, and an amazing sandpit – the little ones were absolutely thrilled!
One of the coolest parts? The interactive water feature (which is perfect for those hot summer days). The kids got completely soaked, but they loved every minute of it.
The play area is fully inclusive, which I really appreciate – it’s wonderful seeing children of all abilities playing together and enjoying the space. All the equipment is designed to ensure every child can have fun, and that just makes the experience even more special.
There’s also a kiosk right there, which was a lifesaver for quick snack breaks and grabbing a coffee. Toilets are available too, but just a heads-up, there are no baby-changing facilities (except during the Stay and Play sessions).
We went during the school holidays, but I saw they offer Stay and Play sessions for under 5s during term time, and they’re free for all Tower Hamlets families. Such a great idea for parents with young kids – definitely going to try that next time!
All in all, this playground is a gem. It’s not just a regular playground, it’s a place that encourages creative and inclusive play, with tons of space for the kids to run wild while you relax on the benches. Highly recommend!
