Greenwich Park Playground
We recently took the kids to the newly revamped Greenwich Park Playground, and it’s brilliant. Tucked away in the North East corner of the park, this place has been a favorite for families for ages, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. After years of wear and tear, they’ve completely transformed it into something really special.
The new playground has a maritime theme, which fits perfectly with the whole Greenwich vibe. There’s a mix of old-school fun and modern play, with features that encourage kids to use their imaginations and work together. What I really love is how inclusive it is—they’ve designed it so that children of all abilities can enjoy it together. You’ve got things like a basket swing and roundabout, plus loads of sand and water play, which my kids couldn’t get enough of.
The materials they’ve used are great too—lots of natural stuff like logs, rope, and bark, which makes the whole place feel like it blends right into the park. And they’ve done a lovely job with the planting too; the flowers and plants are chosen for their scent and color, so it’s a real sensory experience.
It’s designed for kids up to about 12 years old, and honestly, there’s something for everyone. Whether your child is a toddler or a bit older, they’ll find plenty to keep them entertained. All in all, it’s a fab spot for a day out, especially if you’re looking for something that caters to all kids, regardless of ability.
