Natural History Museum in London
The Natural History Museum in London is an absolutely fantastic day out for families. And yes, this museum full of dinosaur skeletons is absolutely free to visit! From the moment you step into the breathtaking Victorian building, you know you’re in for something special. The kids were completely amazed by the giant dinosaur skeletons in the main hall, and the moving T-Rex was a massive hit—it’s such a thrilling experience for little ones and grown-ups alike!
There’s so much to see and do that you’ll want to dedicate an entire day to fully enjoy everything. The wildlife galleries were a big favourite in our family, filled with fascinating creatures from land, sea, and air. For older kids (and curious adults), the mineral and gemstone collection is truly remarkable. We spent ages admiring the meteorites and sparkling gemstones—they’re incredible!
What’s brilliant about this museum is that it’s super family-friendly. It’s free to enter, and they’ve got a great picnic area if you bring your own food, plus a café if you fancy a treat.
